STORYDOC organizes the second session training and network-building program - supported by MEDIA.
STORYDOC 2010 will take place in Athens December 4-7, 2010, at the Goethe Institute. Four months after the first session in Corfu, the participants had the chance to further develop their film project, conduct additional research, improve their trailer while some participants have already started production. Other participant filmmakers and producers presented their projects in pitching sessions around Europe such as DOCUMENTARY CAMPUS, ITFA and Sheffield.
The second session will be structured as the format in Corfu. Participants will have the opportunity to meet competent and committed documentarians, who can inspire them, and advise on the global documentary market.
The workshop includes inspirational lectures on storytelling, the use of music in documentaries, cross-media concepts and the market situation. Broadcasters will present channel profiles, slots for documentaries and will outline current policies. STORYDOC staff has organized public pitch in forums for participants to present projects and individual meetings with commissioning editors, sales agents and distributors, who might be interested in participants films.
On the occasion of ARTE’s 20th anniversary celebration, STORYDOC has invited the French-German European cultural channel to present a selection of their finest documentary films.
